How to recover deleted files/folders from Windows 8/7/XP/8.1/Vista/10 computer

I accidentally deleted a file on my Dell Windows 8 computer and realize I need it back. After some research and reading, I realized that files are not permanently deleted and it is possible to recover deleted files from Windows computer such as Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows 8.1, Windows Vista, Windows 10.

First of all, there's a recycle bin in Windows. Deleted files and folders will be moved to recycle bin so you can open the Recycle Bin and look for the file. You can search the Recycle Bin using the search box at the top-right corner of the window, which may help if you have a lot of files in your Recycle Bin. You can also right-click in the window, point to Sort By, and select Date Deleted to view files that were recently deleted.

However, Windows programs like CCleaner empty your Recycle Bin when you run them, so having CCleaner or a similar program automatically run in the background can prevent you from recovering files from the Recycle Bin.

Moreover, after Windows recycle bin empty, files in recycle bin will be wiped. Also, users can go to recycle bin, and delete files and folders in recycle bin. If files are too large for recycle bin, they will also be deleted permanently. Files can also be removed permanently with shift-delete. In all situations above, files can not be restored from computer recycle bin. But do not worry, it is still possible to recover those deleted photos videos songs document data and other files.
